Tarot - Lovers

Tarot is a card-based divination tool dating back to France in the late 1700s. Using archetypes and themes universal to the human experience, Tarot is popular for its use as a tool of self-discovery and introspection. While many people think that its use is for telling fortunes and predicting the future, Tarot is commonly used as a tool of reflection and insight.

While stitching the cards won’t give you a reading, stitching the cards may give you the opportunity to sit in reflection on the archetype before you.

The lovers symbolize love, harmony, and happiness, but the card insists we also look deeper than that. We are all individuals, after all, and no matter how close we may feel to someone else, we must acknowledge each other’s independence, personal values, and needs.

The lovers archetype also asks you to think about what you, personally, mean by love and to take responsibility for your choices. We all use the word “love” very glibly, but love is different things to different people. This card asks you to be more aware of who you are and what values you place on love relationships.
