Uterus Cross Section

This needlepoint canvas is 3x4" on 18 mesh. This design depicts the internal, cross-section view of the organ, commonly shown in textbooks and other artistic renderings. Both versions of the uterus design are the same size to allow for double sided finishing. 

The uterus is a hollow muscular organ located in the female pelvis between the bladder and rectum. The ovaries produce the eggs that travel through the fallopian tubes. Once the egg has left the ovary it can be fertilized and implant itself in the lining of the uterus.
