Introduction and Refresher to Beading Techniques with Meagan Smith of Strawberry Needlepoint

In this workshop, we will discuss the foundational aspects of beading, starting with the characteristics and quality of beads. Then, we will review the materials and tools needed to set yourself up for beading success followed by a deep dive into beading techniques. After that, we will discuss the common problems and challenges that arise in beading and, most importantly, how to solve them! We conclude with helpful tips to develop and consistently cultivate the most effective habits; these habits will lead to the best possible beading on your canvas.

Megan Smith has extensive teaching experience both as a professor and national needlepoint teacher. Her focus is on needlepoint techniques, helping needlepointers gain skills and confidence to stitch their treasured pieces. Megan's style is supportive and patient because she understands that learning is a process. She enjoys sharing her love of needlepoint with others and looks forward to seeing you in a class soon!
